On Thursday, 30 April 2026, the Volcanic Eruption Emergency Project (VEEP) officially handed over a state-of-the-art climate-controlled greenhouse to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation during a ceremony held at the Agricultural Biotechnology Centre in Orange Hill.
Some 3,700 families in the Volcano Red and Orange Zones will receive an average of $3,000 each over the duration of the project, under the five-year US$44 million Volcanic Eruption Emergency Project (VEEP).
